The new parish church arranges the urban situation around the church and forms various yards and areas together with the existing buildings.

By entering the church through a porch, the visitor steps into a simple but solemn room which is build by two circular walls of different radii. These walls embrace the existing tower, thus integrating the “old” tower in the new building. Glassed slits in the ceiling provide the room with daylight and also artificial light, further lighting fixtures in the church room are not necessary.

The new building consists of coloured lightweight concrete walls; the old tower is newly plastered. The whole church’s appearance expresses an open-minded piety, it is inviting from the outside and a place for contemplation and concentration inside.
